Ferrous metals are those containing iron – a magnet is usually a good way to identify them – if the magnet sticks, the chances are it’s ferrous.

Non-ferrous metal is a term used to describe everything else that isn’t ferrous, such as aluminium, brass, copper, lead and a large number of other metal types.

If you have a car to scrap, please bring the V5C registration document if you have it available (although we can still scrap the car without it). As an Authorised Treatment Facility (ATF), we can send you a Certificate of Destruction (CoD) to prove that you’re no longer the registered keeper of the vehicle.

If you’re still unsure what category your items fall under, simply drop into Reception on your arrival and someone will point you in the right direction.

Have a large amount of scrap? Please call ahead so that the team can best assist you on arrival. Additionally, we can offer collections depending on the amount of metal you have.
