About our process
You can visit one of our yards for weighing and identification of your scrap metal. On hand will be a member of our team to help you through the process as well as provide an on the spot quote!
Ferrous metals are those containing iron – a magnet is usually a good way to identify them – if the magnet sticks, the chances are it’s ferrous.
Non-ferrous metal is a term used to describe everything else that isn’t ferrous, such as aluminium, brass, copper, lead and a large number of other metal types.
If you have a car to scrap, please bring the V5C registration document if you have it available (although we can still scrap the car without it). As an Authorised Treatment Facility (ATF), we can send you a Certificate of Destruction (CoD) to prove that you’re no longer the registered keeper of the vehicle.
If you’re still unsure what category your items fall under, simply drop into Reception on your arrival and someone will point you in the right direction.
Have a large amount of scrap? Please call ahead so that the team can best assist you on arrival. Additionally, we can offer collections depending on the amount of metal you have. If you have larger volumes of metal and are interested in finding out about our collection service, please get in touch with a member of the team.
